So I'm on my third day of the HCG protocol. Things are going well. I know people don't agree with the diet, but I am excited about it and I feel comfortable with it after reading books and doing research! Here is a rundown of the diet protocol.
Loading - 2000 calories - 10 drops 3x/day - 2 days
Maintenance - 500 calories - 10 drops 3x/day - 40 days
Stabilization - 800 calories - no drops - no starch or sugar - 21 days
It was such a weird feeling starting a diet and feeling motivated and then having to binge eat the first 2 days...haha. Today was my first day eating 500 calories and I have to say, I really am not hungry. The way the HCG works is it releases 1500 calories from your stored fat and so you only need about 500 from food. HCG is the hormone that your body releases when you are pregnant. When you're pregnant you get morning sickness and don't eat a lot but you aren't overly hungry because of the HCG in your system.
So I don't know - I thought this diet was insane but the more I read about it, the more excited I became. Something has to change because this girl is OVER her body. Everyday you have to weigh yourself because if you gain, your diet is a little different the next day. I will be posting my daily weigh on here and I want to get back to blogging and being help accountable!
